We recently celebrated our wedding at the Talbot Hotel Cork, and from start to finish, the experience was nothing short of perfect.
In the months and weeks leading up to the big day, our wedding coordinator, Tanusha, was in constant contact, ensuring that every single detail was exactly as we envisioned. Her dedication, patience, and professionalism made the planning process stress-free, and it was clear how much she genuinely cared about making our day special.
On the wedding day itself, everything was flawless. The ceremony room was set up beautifully, and we were even allowed to have our beloved dogs walk me down the aisle – something truly meaningful to us. The drinks reception was presented elegantly, with plenty of food, drinks, and snacks for all our guests to enjoy.
After our photoshoot, we were shown to the bridal suite, which was absolutely stunning – luxurious, spacious, and the perfect place to take a quiet moment together before dinner. Meanwhile, our guests were preparing for their meal, which exceeded all expectations. The dinner was not only delicious but beautifully presented, with such generous portions that many of us couldn’t finish. The late-night snacks and wedding cake service were another highlight – plentiful and absolutely fantastic.
What truly stood out was the team’s dedication. Tanusha made sure everything ran seamlessly throughout the entire day, but every staff member we encountered – from the waiters to the bar staff – was polite, attentive, and incredibly professional. They made our guests feel welcome and added to the warm, celebratory atmosphere.
We could not have asked for a more magical day. The Talbot Hotel Cork gave us memories we will cherish forever, and we wouldn’t change a single thing. For anyone considering a wedding or large event, I cannot recommend this venue highly enough – it’s a stunning setting with outstanding food and an exceptional team.

From management to wedding servers just amazing! Made our day just easy going and perfect and mostly stress free.. There was nothing to much of a job for anybody but especially Michael and Tanusha! It was so so beautiful and just more then we had ever imagined. Can't thank Talbot cork enough for our amazing day. To start our wedding planning was made so special and easy-going with the help of the Talbot Hotel Cork. Tanusha was on top of everything. Anytime I needed advice or help, she was right there with a smile. The day itself was like a dream. Michael and Tanusha made sure it was all running perfectly and made sure no stress came our way. “Our wedding day was completely relaxed thanks to the time and effort put in by Tanusha and the team. She took everything we asked for and improved it in every possible way.
From breakfast in the Bridal Suite to the perfectly timed evening food, every detail was spot on. The dishes — from mushroom vol-au-vents to salmon mains — were outstanding, with guests still talking about the flavours.
Special thanks to Rory (Night Manager) and Anne (Reservations Manager) for looking after our guests, including my father who needed a room close to the function space. Even the menus had a personal touch, with my late mother’s favourite flower included in the design.
